IntrigueCon VI is GO!

IntrigueCon VI, (actually number seven) is all set for the weekend after Thanksgiving again (October 18th-20th) at the Queen Alexandra Hall. Doors open at 6pm on Friday and run through until mid-afternoon on Sunday with registration only $36 for the whole weekend. It’s a not for profit event which means that it exists exclusively for the people, with all money going towards the running of the con.

So, whether you’re new to roleplaying, new to roleplaying conventions, or you’re an old hand, IntrigueCon is a great way to get to know what’s going on in your community, make new friendships, and best of all, to try new games. Since the convention began, over 100 different roleplaying systems have featured on the schedule with at least 30 different games available at each convention. And you needn’t be an expert in the rules of a game to play it, our GMs are very aware that, in all probability, half of the players in any game will have never played it before. All anyone needs to know is that IntrigueCon is an inclusive con and that roleplaying is a conversation where everyone gets to talk.

What? You want to run a game? Brilliant, we always need GMs! In fact, for the con to work, on average each person needs to run one session per con. Of course this doesn’t mean everyone has to run a game, we have lots of folks that run more than one, but what it does mean is that if you’re on the fence, give it a go. Still not convinced about GMing? We have a handy article you can refer to if you’re not sure how running a convention game might differ from a home game.

What are you waiting for? Come out and support your con.
