IntrigueCon 7
This time ... it's virtual
IntrigueCon 2020 This Time … It’s Virtual, is our offering in this bizarro time we find ourselves together in.
We summoned our disjointed group to bring you as best we can the experience of IntrigueCon, which is, a community of strangers and familiars assembled for a rare moment of gaming. We aim to create an environment free of form and expression and will continue to do so through Discord and such.
The schedule will work in the exact same way as always. What does that mean? Funny you asked. Start off by buying your registration (be sure to put your address in the PayPal notes if you want your button), then submit your games. If you’re not running games, at a later date, when The Lord Registrar’ is good and ready, the sign-ups will be thrown open and you can sign up to play games.
If this is all new to you, no problem, while we think it’s straight-forward it’s probably because we’ve done it a lot. Just ask people in Facebook, email us, or go to the discord and someone will be more than happy to help. We were all new at one point.
As far as running games, there are a finite number of organisers, so we can only be in so many places at one time, especially when some of us will be running too. This means that we will be monitoring and available on discord but not anywhere else. We imagine this will not be an issue but, just in case, the Code of Conduct still applies.
Myself, I intend to do just a voice game on discord. You, as a GM though, can use whatever service/s fits your needs, all we’re saying is that as a GM or player if you want support, discord is where we are and we won’t be monitoring or visiting anywhere else. As a result, when you submit games you should notify players where your game will be and what services they will need to get ready in advance.
This pandemic rolled well and may have pocketed a bit from us but maybe on Oct. 18, 2020 we can all take a bit back.
